Christ's Community - March 30, 2008 AMPastor Dave Marttunen
God made us for community. Our great experiences in life are not complete unless they are shared: a good meal, a great sunset, a spectacular goal, the biggest fish caught. We have to tell someone. We cannot keep good things to ourselves. In everyone’s heart is a craving, an aching, a hope for community. Today we will explore the call to community that Jesus gives us.Audio / Questions

Jesus is the Door to Hope - March 23, 2008 AMDave Marttunen
Everyone has felt the anxiety of coming to a door we need to use and finding it locked; no key. Doors are barriers until they are opened. Easter is the celebration of an open door. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the key that opens the door to hope. Jesus’ death covers our sin. His death was the payment to God for our debt. The resurrection is the proof that the payment was accepted. Death, the final separation, has been opened by Christ. Jesus is the door to life as God designed it. Christ is the way to a full relationship with God. Easter celebrates Jesus as the Door to Hope!Audio

The Prime of Life - March 9, 2008Dave Marttunen
Freedom, the Bible tells us, can be like a tarp thrown over whatever we want to hide. Charters of rights become tools for evil instead of tools for doing good. Today we conclude our series on LIFE_Shift, with a final application of truth and grace to our freedom in Christ. Freedom is not the right to do whatever we want, but the opportunity to love. What does it take (cost and require) for us to have a community all of us want?Audio
Grow For It - March 2, 2008 AM

Becoming a mature adult means that we move out of up-down relationships into equal or peer relationships. It’s a big deal. It’s even bigger when you add social castes, economics, education, and employment. Following Christ means we enter a relationship that has only one social class; everyone enters by the same door of grace. Today we will learn how growing in grace and truth gives us power to be whole in life.Audio
