The purpose of a fence is to define a boundary. Some things are kept within a fence, and many things are kept outside it. Everyone needs fences that mark the edges of their responsibility. A church like any family and every person must understand where its commitments begin and end so that it can face the endless demands on all its resources. Fences describe responsibility and empower those behind them to say no as effectively as they say yes. Today we will learn the value of having and keeping a spiritual fence.
