Church discipline begins where self discipline ends. Church discipline in the Bible is never an appeal to the power of the Church, but always an appeal to the heart of the Church to live to the glory of God. Discipline is a good Biblical word. It describes the choices of a person, a family and a Church; in turn, it reinforces the healthy habits that produce God honouring outcomes.
