God measures What He Develops - April 27, 2008 AMDave Marttunen
This morning pastor Marttunen is starting a new sermon series, "A Heart for God". More than mapping the development of David's life, the series is designed to follow the formation of his heart. The reason is simple. At core, our lives are largely the same. The life issues David faced, we face: opportunity, choices between good and bad, rejection, challenge, bitterness, independence and lust come in a jumbled puzzle. What sets him apart is that his choices were informed by his heart and further developed his heart. Together we will explore what it means to have a Heart for God, how to find it, form it and keep it when there are so many points in life to do the opposite—to lose heart, deform heart, and have heart failure. Take heart! God formed a good heart in this man through his response to God and He is willing to do the same in us.

Sustaining a Life of Continuous WorshipDave Marttunen
Worship is the chosen response of any person to the revelation of God. The essence of worship is a truth based spiritual response. God initiates, we respond. Frequently worship is reduced to what I know—truth; but Jesus teaches us that it is more than that, much more. God seeks worshipers, and today we will focus on how to be the person God is seeking.

Future Resurrection - April 13, 2008 PMDavid Dawson
Christ's resurrection has great significance for our future. Because he was raised, we have assurance that we too will be raised after we die. 1 Corinthians 15 is the chapter of the Bible which talks about our future resurrection. It has much to say about our existence after death. Tonight we will explore our hope as we dig into this chapter.Audio / Notes
New Identity / New Life - April 13, 2008 AMDavid Dawson
Keeping with the theme of the resurrection, we will look at how the Bible teaches that Christians are already dead and raised to new life. In Christ we have a new identity. We are taught that our old self has been crucified with Christ and that we can live a new life. My hope is that you will be inspired to embrace your new identity and more fully expertise your new life in Christ.Audio / Notes / Questions
God uses Failures - April 6, 2008 PMDavid Dawson
One of the most heartwarming of resurrection appearances is the time when Jesus appears to the disciples on the beach and restores Peter. Peter was a man of recent failure, having denied Christ in his moment of need. Yet Christ did not cast him off and Peter himself did not mope in his failure. Our hope is that as you appreciate the grace of God who restores failures that you will have confidence to draw near to God.Audio
Not Seeing and Believing - April 6, 2008 AMDavid Dawson
As a people of faith, we do not like talking about doubt, yet doubt is a reality because our finite minds cannot know all things. Thomas is the disciple who is famous for his doubt and his example can be helpful for us. Thomas doubted and Jesus appeared to him resolving his doubts. Should we expect that God should do the same for us? Unfortunately things don't usually play out in this way. We don't get the miracle like Thomas did. This morning we will explore how God uses doubt and what it means to be blessed when we believe without seeing.
