If you had the power, the opportunity and the relational support to get back at an enemy, should you do it? David was in that place. He hears the soothing words: This is the day God was talking about when he said, 'I'll put your enemy in your hands. You can do whatever you want with him.' What David chose to do is a pattern of forgiveness, grace and mercy that we all can follow. Today we find David battling a desire for vengeance against a desire to let God be the judge.
