We learn from the life of David that all of us were formed for God’s family. God has designed us to belong to not only his purpose, but to fit into his family. It has always been on God’s heart that we should be part of his clan, connected to his people, and from that feel we belong. Belonging means that we are loved and can safely love others. It is a place where God’s design for us can be fully experienced and creatively expressed. As we follow David’s developing heart for God we will discover that God has a plan for us that is wildly bigger than our dreams for ourselves. God’s dream for us is that we would belong fully to His family.
