God of Mercy - August 3, 2008 AM

As we approach the communion table, our thoughts will be guided by a Pslam reflecting on the mercy of God. This Psalm of Ascents was likely sung as ancient worshippers ascended the temple mountain. It encourages us to approach God in humble confidence as we reflect on his unfailing love. As this Psalm prophetically looks forward to a time when God will redeem his people, we look back on the redeeming life and death of Christ.
