Taking Jesus to Work

This morning, we welcome Dr. Larry Perkins, who will be speaking on “The Nine to Five Window - Taking Jesus to
Work.” Jesus calls us to be missional in our occupational work. By missional I mean, acting intentionally as kingdom agents in our occupational and other work settings. The 9 to 5 work context is the missional window where God sets many of us. We are there like subversive agents bringing Kingdom values into an alien environment. How we do this will be diverse, require tremendous creativity, call for significant courage, and demand from us the commitment to suffer for Jesus’ sake, if need be. Remember Jesus’ words to His disciples, “as you go, disciple others.” So where we go, including our occupational setting, the Great Commission defines our way of living.
