In this final installment of our survey of the Old Testament, we will trace the theme of salvation blessings. The blessings which were lost in the fall can be described as rest and the presence of God. These blessings were partially restored in the gift of the promised land and the building of the temple but are more fully realized in Christ, the Holy Spirit and the coming new Jerusalem. May we be sure to lay hold of these blessings by remaining firm in our faith.
