The world can be an unstable, dangerous place. In less than a generation, a country can rise to world prominence and even more quickly a country can become only a memory. Whether you find yourself in the midst of apocalyptic events, or dealing with every day trials, we need to know how to endure. The church of Philadelphia received a letter from Jesus just before their whole world turned upside that filled them with hope during this troubled time. Hope was to be found in the identity of Jesus as the one with all authority and might. Jesus also promised to honour this church, protect it and cherish it all their days and beyond. The message to the church of Philadelphia is a declaration of love like a Saviour for his beloved, a husband for his bride, or a
Father for a child.
