A Good Neighbour Church stops looking for loopholes as it decides to bloom where it has been planted. Deciding to stay and serve is the call God gives us in Jeremiah 29:4-7. A ‘Good Neighbour Church’ chooses to be the
friend their community needs. The hallmark of a Good Neighbour Church is intention. Good relations and good service are twin actions that adorn the gospel of Jesus Christ. Living out faith means that a Good Neighbour Church lives out the whole gospel for the whole man. Loving God and loving others, which Jesus defined as the greatest commandment, is the motivation of every Good Neighbour Church. The gospel of Jesus forms our identity and fuels our love for others because we have experienced God’s full acceptance and forgiveness in Christ. Today’s message is based on Luke 10:25-37; supported by Jeremiah 29:4-7 and Acts 17:24-28.
