Easter for the believer in Jesus, is the celebration of God’s Power at work for him and in him. The Bible proclaims that Jesus died for men. The act of his death was historic and decisive. The resurrection demonstrates that God

accepts the sacrifice of Jesus. On the cross, Christ changes places with every human being. In death, Jesus becomes our ransom. He pays the full penalty of our sin. But there is much more. In addition to our debt being cancelled, the cross is the means of bringing to us a new life. The Christian is now a new kind of person with a new potential. There is a new identity in place and a new potential to be developed.
